Management Leadership Program
Across Health and Social Care Leaders

The Management Leadership Program is designed to strengthen collaboration among cross-organizational management teams across health and social care sectors. This initiative brings together leadership teams from multiple organizations, key administrative stakeholders, and academic representatives to foster leadership that supports system-wide transformation.

This leadership program aims to create conditions for improved health, quality care, cost efficiency, and a positive working environment from a management perspective. Participants engage in joint development initiatives and pilot new working methods to address systemic challenges. Additionally, the program is designed to advance population health within a community, a province, a territory, a nation, or a country.

The program emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach and breaking down silo structures within public administration and organizational settings. By integrating efforts and leveraging shared expertise, the initiative seeks to enhance service quality and efficiency, ultimately benefiting individuals and communities.

STRUCTURE

The program invites participants from diverse organizations across health and social care, including leadership teams from hospitals, community health organizations, social service agencies, administrative boards, and academia. These leaders collaborate to develop and implement new strategies aimed at strengthening cross-sectoral cooperation and governance.

The program consists of 33 participants, who meet every two months for joint learning sessions, lectures, and reflection workshops. Between these sessions, participants engage in smaller group discussions to address specific focus areas. Rather than predefined themes, leaders will decide together what their shared priorities will be based on the needs of their organizations and communities. The program allows them to build collaborative leadership for collective impact on the priorities that are most important within and across their organizations.

Conducted in collaboration with international healthcare improvement organizations, the program integrates global best practices in leadership and system transformation. The initiative spans approximately two years, with structured phases focusing on identifying challenges, defining shared indicators for progress, and implementing innovative solutions within operational areas.
